Would you like to get more involved in the SAB? …

Looking to connect with and help other members? Have valuable skills and perspectives that could benefit the SAB? If so, consider volunteering to serve on one of the following 2023-2025 committees. In exchange for your time and support, you will develop leadership skills and enhance your network, benefitting you both professionally and personally.

To serve on an SAB Committee, you must be an active member of SAB in good standing. All committee members are appointed by the SAB Board of Directors.

Committee applicants will be asked to complete a committee application and include a personal statement describing why you would like to serve on the committee.

Education & Program Committee

Mission: The Society for Advanced Bronchoscopy is dedicated to advancing the field of bronchoscopy through innovation, collaboration, and education. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes by fostering excellence in bronchoscopic techniques, research, and training. We aim to create a global community of healthcare professionals committed to pushing the boundaries of bronchoscopy, ultimately enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.

Time commitment: Committee members serve a two-year term and are expected to fully participate in meetings and conference calls as scheduled.

              INDUSTRY RELATIONS COMMITTEE

              Mission: The Industry Relations Committee acts as a liaison between industry and the Board of Directors in the process of obtaining financial support through exhibitions, non-CME promotional sessions, in-kind support, grants, and philanthropic donations.

                                    Pediatric Subspecialty Committee

                                    Mission: The Pediatric Subspecialty Committee will promote awareness of the growing need for patients while evolving the training discipline for pediatric pulmonologists. We will investigate and establish training paradigms while disseminating training in advanced bronchoscopy for pediatric pulmonologists.

                                            Community Subspecialty Committee

                                            Mission: The Community Committee is a part of a multidisciplinary team. Numerous skill sets come together to impact patient outcomes by appropriately working with the advanced pulmonologists to get a quicker diagnosis and appropriate treatment initiated. All allied health professionals including Nursing, Radiology Technologists, Respiratory Therapists, specially trained patient navigators, patient advocacy organizations, etc. and others that work closely with the advanced pulmonologist are welcome to apply to work alongside the SAB. The goal of this committee is to provide a community that is inclusive to all that improve patient outcomes.
